The BEST Homemade Spaghetti Sauce Seasoning Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons Dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons basil
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1.5 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 pinch fennel seeds finely ground

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a small mixing dish, combine all the ingredients.
  • After thoroughly mixing, store in an airtight container.
  • Before using the seasoning, give the container a few shakes, then use it as you like.
  • Store or season. Once well blended, use immediately or store for later. My favorite approach to combine this seasoning mixture is to crush the fennel and/or rosemary seeds beforehand.

NOTES

Before using, give the spaghetti seasoning a good shake to make sure the spices are properly distributed.
This recipe doesn't contain any salt. Before seasoning, salt the food to your preferred level.
Toss the rosemary in a dry pan over medium heat for just a few minutes to make it easier to smash. This will facilitate crushing and release the taste.
