Easy Homemade Cajun Chicken Alfredo Sauce (Creamy Recipe)

Savory, fresh, and smoky! Rich and creamy, this Cajun alfredo sauce is ideal served over pasta. The addition of a little zest from a lemon lifts the sauce and makes it ideal for serving with grilled fish or steamed veggies. Although store-bought Cajun seasoning is an option, homemade seasoning offers a more robust taste.

NOTES

Please take note of the salt content of seasonings purchased from stores. Most aren't spice blends; they're seasoning salts. For optimal results, I suggest utilizing the spice blend specified.
Cream that is bubbling shouldn't have lemon juice added to it since it could curdle. Simply use the zest of the lemon.
You can dilute the sauce with a small amount of pasta water if it's too thick.
Cajun Chicken Pasta: Add 12 to 16 ounces of cooked pasta and 2 cups of shredded chicken to make this into a quick dinner. And voilà! Pasta with Cajun chicken. Additions such as frozen peas and spinach are also excellent.
