This garlic butter sauce recipe is super easy and can be made in 10 min. It’s great for spooning over pasta, seafood or veggies, giving any dish a burst of flavor with very little effort!
Sauté the Garlic – In a pan, over medium heat, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, stirring often, until fragrant and lightly golden (take care not to burn).
Season & Simmer — Sprinkle in a pinch of salt, then simmer the sauce for one more minute and let the flavors meld. If you want, add a splash of pasta water for a silkier yield.
Toss with Spaghetti – Off the heat, stir in cooked spaghetti and toss to fully coat with the sauce. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.
NOTES
Use Unsalted Butter for Better Control — Unsalted butter gives you control over the salt level to your taste, so you don’t run the risk of your sauce being too salty.
Keep the heat low — Garlic needs to be cooked over low to medium heat to avoid burning, which turns it from sweet and aromatic to bitter.
Serve Immediately for Best Texture – Garlic butter sauce thickens on cooling, so it’s best enjoyed fresh. If necessary, reheat gently with a splash of water or broth to its silky state.
