Boil the water — Fill a pot with enough water to cover the eggs by at least an inch. Bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
Add the eggs — Gently lower the eggs into the boiling water with a spoon to avoid cracking.
Set your timer — 6 to 7 minutes: How long for a perfectly jammy yolk.
Fill a bowl with ice water – While your eggs cook, place ice and cold water in a large bowl.
Transfer to ice bath Once the timer goes off, use a slotted spoon to immediately transfer the eggs into the ice water to halt the cooking process.
Let them cool — Place the eggs in the ice bath for 5 minutes so that they’re easy to peel.
Peel – You can lightly tap the eggshells on the surface of the counter, roll them lightly, or peel under running water for best results.
Serve and enjoy — Halve the jammy eggs, sprinkle with salt and add to your favorite dishes!
