This Creamy Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta is easy and tastes great. This simple chicken pasta recipe is ideal for hectic weeknights or comfortable weekends at home since it blends tender chicken, salty Parmesan cheese, and creamy garlic sauce. Plus, dinner nearly cooks itself thanks to the crockpot's convenience!
The other day, I made this recipe in my beloved crockpot. I was reminded how much I enjoy crockpot dinners because I hadn't used them in a long time. It's brilliant to simply put everything in the crockpot, set it, and then go about your day. Over the next several weeks, I can't wait to make all of my old crockpot dishes again for a quick and easy meal that will smell fantastic.
This simple pasta dish is a breeze since it uses a tasty store-bought sauce (BWW's garlic parmesan sauce) that you simply pour into the pot. The outcome is fantastic: a cheesy, creamy, garlic chicken pasta dish that is ideal for a weekday supper and is incredibly cozy and fragrant.

Why This Recipe Works
- Effortless. This recipe is ideal for those occasions when you want to serve something delectable but are pressed for time because it only requires a few basic ingredients and little preparation.
- Delicious flavor. This dish's star is the garlic Parmesan sauce, which gives the cheesy, creamy pasta sauce a wonderful garlicky flavor.
- Adaptable. It's simple to modify this recipe by substituting a couple of the ingredients. Try a different protein (or substitute vegetables for a vegetarian alternative), a different type of cheese, or a different noodle type.
- Crockpot amour. The slow cooker, ugh. It's one of my all-time favorite appliances and a huge time-saver. This is the ideal recipe for this simple parmesan pasta dish, which is a terrific way to use this instrument.
Main Ingredients
This tasty recipe only requires a few basic ingredients. This is what you will require.
- Skinless chicken without bones. For this recipe, I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts, but you could simply substitute thigh meat.
- Garlic sauce with Parmesan. This Buffalo Wild Wings Sauce is available in jars at your neighborhood supermarket. You may find marinades and barbecue sauce in the condiment aisles.
- Cream cheese. This will give the sauce a ton of creaminess and richness, and we'll be using one entire container.
- Pasta. For this recipe, I use farfalle, but you can use any pasta shape you like.
- Italian seasoning.
- Chicken stock. gives the creamy sauce a little more moisture.
- Parmesan cheese. adds a delicious and nutty touch to spaghetti with parmesan garlic chicken.
- garnishes. Red pepper flakes and fresh parsley offer a touch of fire and some lovely color.
How to Make Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta
Just a little preparation is required, like with most crockpot recipes, and then you can relax and let your dinner prepare itself! Here's the method.
- Get the crockpot ready. To keep the chicken and sauce from sticking to the bottom of the crockpot, grease it with butter.
- Put the chicken in. Add salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to the crockpot with the chicken.
- Pour in the sauce. Cover the chicken with the whole bottle of Parmesan garlic sauce.
- Put the cheese on top. Pour the chicken stock, cream cheese, and Parmesan cheese into the crockpot.
- Cook. Give your slow cooker time to work. Cover and cook for 3–4 hours on low or 2–3 hours on high.
- Cut the chicken into shreds. After the chicken is cooked through, shred it and return it to the sauce and crock pot.
- Prepare the farfalle. Pasta should be cooked as directed on the package in a big pot of salted water until it is al dente. Here, simply reduce the cooking time by one or two minutes. Once added to the slow cooker, the pasta will absorb some of the fluid from the sauce, so it should be a little firm. One cup of the pasta water should be set aside.
- Mix. To allow the pasta to absorb some of the sauce, add the al dente pasta to the chicken and sauce combination, stirring to incorporate, and continue cooking for another 5 to 10 minutes. Although there should be plenty of sauce or liquid for the pasta, if it looks dry, gradually add one or two tablespoons of pasta water until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Add a garnish. Before serving, top the dish with red pepper flakes and fresh parsley.
Variations and Substitutions
- Switch up the chicken. For a more flavorful and juicy dish, use boneless, skinless chicken thighs rather than chicken breasts.
- Change up the sauce. For a variation on the dish, use store-bought Alfredo sauce instead of the Parmesan garlic sauce.
- Include some vegetables. For more nutrients and color, include fresh bell peppers or spinach.
- Add additional garlic. Add some fresh garlic to the chicken and sauce to intensify the garlic flavor. (The easiest way to incorporate garlic into the sauce is to use minced garlic.)
- Make it lighter. Use milk or low-fat cream cheese in instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
- Incorporate some zesty taste! To add a little brightness, juice some lemon over the dish or sprinkle some lemon zest on top.
Frequently Asked Questions
Indeed! To create this Instant Pot style, follow these steps.
Add the seasoned chicken to the instant pot with the butter melted using the sauté setting. Cook until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes per side. After adding the cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and chicken stock to the Instant Pot, cover the chicken with the Parmesan garlic sauce.
After 10 minutes of high-pressure cooking, let the pressure naturally drop for 5 minutes before manually releasing any remaining pressure. Prepare the pasta as directed on the package while the chicken cooks. Return the cooked pasta and chicken to the pot with the cream sauce after shredding the chicken. Serve after stirring and garnishing.
Indeed! Although the crockpot is undoubtedly a simple alternative, preparing this entire dish on the stovetop is also very simple and will only take 20 to 30 minutes.
Melt butter in a large skillet and add the seasoned chicken to make this simple pasta dish on the stovetop. The chicken should be cooked through on the inside and golden brown on the outside after 3–4 minutes of cooking on each side over medium heat. Set aside the chicken after shredding it. In the same skillet as the chicken, add the sauce, cheese, and chicken broth. Whisk until the mixture is creamy. After adding the chicken to the sauce, let it simmer for approximately five minutes. After cooking, add the pasta to the dish, mix everything, garnish, and serve.
For optimal results, use fresh chicken, but if necessary, use freezer chicken. Just make sure the chicken achieves an internal temperature of 165°F and modify the cooking time appropriately.
The crock pot garlic parmesan chicken pasta recipe is adaptable to other pasta varieties.
Indeed! Use either chicken breast or chicken thighs, depending on your preference. Some people prefer to use chicken thighs since they don't dry out as much in the slow cooker. However, because they have more fat on them, there may occasionally be more oil or grease in the crockpot while it's cooking. For this dish, I have only ever used skinless, boneless chicken breasts.
This is a simple pasta recipe that my whole family adores. It's a terrific addition to your collection of back-pocket and crock-pot dinners.

- ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional for extra garlic flavor
- ½ cup chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon butter

- Top the sauce with the chicken stock, cream cheese, and Parmesan cheese.

- You can make your own Buffalo Wild Wings Garlic Parmesan Sauce if you don't have a bottle.
