The skin is crunchy and the meat is delicious in every bite. They are ideal for hectic weekday meals and are simple to grab and consume on the fly.

This basic dish calls for only a few ingredients. Here are the major items you'll need:
- Chicken Drumsticks: To achieve crispier chicken drumsticks, leave the skin on.
- Brush with olive oil before coating.
- All-purpose flour is ideal for creating crispy skin.
- Use baking powder or corn starch
- Paprika to add a subtle earthy flavor.
- You can use garlic powder instead of onion powder for a slightly different flavor.
- I prefer kosher salt, and black pepper adds a touch of flavor.
- Optional spices: For a more spicy drumstick, replace chili powder for onion powder. If you want them hot, add some cayenne pepper.
- Optional garnish: parsley flakes.

- The skin of chicken drumsticks aids in the chicken's crispy texture. Although it won't be as crispy, skinless chicken will still taste great.
- When cooking meat in an air fryer, use an instant-read meat thermometer to determine when the meat is done. By using a thermometer, you may quickly and simply check the doneness of meat, avoiding overcooking or tough or dry meat.
- To make cleanup easier, use a silicone liner.
- In batches, prepare the chicken. Avoid overlapping or touching drumsticks in the basket to get the skin crispy.
Variations & Substitutions
- Easy to eat by the bone, chicken drumsticks can also be served with your preferred dipping sauces, like honey mustard, ranch dressing, spicy sauce, or even barbecue sauce.
- For added taste, mix the flour with seasonings like Italian or Ranch seasoning before cooking.
