This dish demonstrates that often the simplest dishes are the finest. The vegetables are perfectly crisp on the outside and delicate on the inside, and the dish is simply seasoned with olive oil.

Your new favorite potato side dish may just be this!

We enjoy making quick and delicious dinners in our air fryer, such as Air Fryer Chicken Wings and Air Fryer French Fries. You have to try this recipe for Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes if you are looking for a tasty side dish that can be prepared quickly.

Why you'll love this air fryer roasted potatoes

    • It takes only a few minutes to prepare these air fryer roasted potatoes.
    • There aren't any soiled roasting pans to clean up.
    • Because they go with almost any meal, roasted potatoes are the ideal side dish.

The best air fryer potato recipe is this one. The roasted potatoes are delicious, and the recipe couldn't be easier. You'll use this recipe over and over again.

Air Fryer Roasted Baby Potatoes Ingredients

This is an overview of the ingredients needed to make these air fryer roasted potatoes. For the complete list be sure to check the recipe card down below!

    air fryer roasted potatoes ingredients

Potatoes - Yukon Golds, red potatoes, and russet potatoes make the greatest roasting potatoes. Nonetheless, any potato can be used for roasting.

Oil - Extra virgin olive oil is a favorite of mine.

Fresh parsley - I like some green color in my dishes!

Spices - I use smoked paprika (I frequently use it with roasted potatoes), garlic powder, salt, and pepper in this dish. Nonetheless, I enjoy experimenting and occasionally create several versions of the roasted potatoes using different seasonings.

Seasoning - salt and black pepper.

How to make Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes

Should I peel the potatoes or not? You have a choice! I generally leave the peel on since I prefer the rustic appearance of potatoes and I always strive to buy organic foods.

Cut baby potatoes in half if you're using them. If they're small, you may simply prick them with a fork to let the steam out. Just cut larger potatoes into 1-inch chunks if you're using them.

Oven-roasted potatoes are a constant favorite of ours. But, there are occasionally not enough hours in the evening for preheating and oven roasting. On evenings like these, my best friend is the air fryer. In just 20 minutes, you can have these air fryer-roasted potatoes on the table, and they come out just as crispy and delicious.

Use this recipe to save oven space during the holidays or serve quick air fryer potatoes as a side dish throughout the week. Every time you air fry them, everyone wins. Why you'll adore this recipe is as follows:

    1. Add the potatoes to a large bowl along with the extra virgin olive oil, garlic granules, smoked paprika, if using, and salt and pepper (or any other seasonings you're using). Toss to combine.
    2. Make sure to generously season and coat the potatoes in oil.
    3. Put in the Air Fryer basket and roast for 10 minutes at 380°F (195°C). After 10 more minutes of roasting, flip the potatoes.
    4. The potatoes should be crisp on the outside and fork-tender on the inside.
    5. Serve hot!

    Pro Tips

    • The potatoes must be completely dry before roasting; else, they will steam.
    • To flip the potatoes halfway through, use tongs or a turner; shaking the basket can break parts of the potatoes and result in partial flipping.
    • As a side dish or appetizer, serve hot. Add fresh chopped cilantro or parsley as a garnish.
    • It is not necessary to preheat the Air Fryer, but doing so will make the potatoes crispier.
    • It is possible to remove additional starch from starchy potatoes by soaking them for 10 to 15 minutes in cold water before roasting.

    Storing and Reheating

In an airtight container, store leftover roast potatoes in the refrigerator for no more than three days.

It's easy to heat the potatoes through in the air fryer by air frying them again (double air-fried potatoes are the ultimate crispy potato meal!).

Freezing - If you wish to retain leftover roast potatoes for a longer period of time, you can also freeze them: The remaining roast potatoes should be spread out on a baking sheet and frozen in the freezer. For protection, it is recommended that the frozen roast potatoes be placed in freezer bags. This will allow the potatoes to freeze quickly, which helps to minimize the formation of ice crystals. This prevents the potatoes from becoming mushy when they are thawed and helps to lock in flavor and texture.

Reheating - To reheat frozen roast potatoes, you can air fry them:
Put the air fryer's frozen roast potatoes in there. Put your potatoes in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes at 360°F/180°C until they're done. Shake the basket approximately every 5 minutes to distribute the frozen potatoes and guarantee even air-frying.

    Are Air Fried Potatoes Healthy?

Indeed, air-fried potatoes are generally nutritious and use little to no oil. Potatoes are suitable for vegan or vegetarian diets, gluten-free, and paleo-friendly. If you don't mind eating potatoes, this dish is incredibly nutritious.

Do You Need To Pre-boil the Potatoes?

The potatoes do not need to be boiled. In the Air Fryer, they cook quickly.
